Model railroad on display for charity
Winnipeg, Manitoba, December 12, 2011 – Members of the Win N Trak Model Railway Group will share their time honoured pastime to raise funds for the Children’s Hospital at the Garden City Shopping Centre February 17th to 20th, 2012.
The Centre is one of several host venues for the modular layout that features trains travelling through infrastructure and scenery built to a scale of 1/160 in tremendous detail. The impressive set is operated by volunteer enthusiasts at shows throughout the year to promote the hobby of model railroading.
Win N Trak Model Railway Group is a non-profit organization based in Winnipeg since 1986. Every year, Win N Trak holds a fundraising raffle for a small model layout built by club members. A portion of the proceeds are donated to a charitable organization such as the Winnipeg Children’s Hospital.
The four-day exhibit will be held in Centre Court of the Garden City Shopping Centre beginning Friday, February 17th at 9:30 am. Garden City Shopping Centre will be open from 12:00 pm to 6:00 pm on Louis Riel Day. The show is free to the public and raffle tickets will be available for purchase.
